Join us for a guided Educational Sanctuary Tour at Gulf Coast Primate Sanctuary, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing lifelong care for rescued primates. This tour offers an intimate look into the lives of the monkeys living in a peaceful sanctuary environment. Guests will learn about primate intelligence, natural behaviors, conservation, and the challenges many primates face when kept as exotic pets. Our caregivers will share the personal stories of the animals who now call the sanctuary home and explain how proper sanctuary care allows them to live safely and thrive. Visitors will observe the monkeys engaging in natural behaviors such as climbing, grooming, swinging, and interacting with their troop. This experience is designed to be educational and respectful of the animals’ wellbeing, therefore this is a no-touch tour. To ensure a calm environment for the animals and a meaningful experience for our guests, tours are limited to a maximum of 8 people per group, creating a more personal and engaging visit. Tour reservations are considered a donation to Gulf Coast Primate Sanctuary, and every visit directly supports the animals by helping provide food, enrichment, veterinary care, and habitat maintenance. As a nonprofit sanctuary, we are also committed to giving back to our community. Through our Unplugged Sanctuary Program, we provide a peaceful place where veterans and first responders living with PTSD can reconnect with nature, volunteer, and find healing through meaningful work with animals and the land. Your visit helps support both the lifelong care of rescued primates and outreach programs that serve those who have served our communities.
